Let's Expert Review

Here is what our experts feel about Let's

Suzuki was one of the top players in the scooter industry with the Access 125. But over the last few years competition has been increasingly fierce. So, the company introduced a new product in the rapidly growing 110cc scooter segment that targets a larger customer base than their 125cc scooters like Access and Swish (now discontinued). In mid-2014, the company launched the Let’s, a compact scooter aimed at the youth and female riders in India. It was positioned to take on the like of the popular Honda Activa-i and the Yamaha Ray. Its light and sturdy design are practical for everyday use. New Suzuki Let’s stands out from the crowd with a range of stylish dual tone colours and trendy graphics. Specially designed for comfort and power fuel efficient 113cc engine with cutting-edge SEP technology has a zippy pickup. With contemporary looks and top class performance, the new Suzuki Let’s currently competes with the heavyweights like Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Honda Dio, Hero Maestro Edge, Yamaha Ray-Z and TVS Wego. is only available in one variant at a price of Rs.49,030 (Ex-showroom Price, Delhi).

The new Suzuki Let’s looks very stylish yet bold and is designed to appeal to the younger riders. It is one of the better-built scooters in its segment as the plastics employed on the scooter is of very good quality. Even there are no visible inconsistencies in the overall fit and finish of this scooter. Headlamp with the dual tone body with graphics upfront looks very sporty. Even on the sides, the stylish and sporty looks are carried with the trendy checkered graphics. At the rear, the scooter gets a sleeker tail section and a well laid out tail lamp cluster. To even enhance its sporty looks the wheels are painted all black and so is the rear grab bar. There is even a special cutaway floorboard that provides comfortable foot grounding. Dual-color meter console looks striking and has a clear layout with easy-to-read large icons for speedometer and fuel gauge. Now the Let’s gets a central locking & unique safety shutter feature that controls the ignition, steering lock, and seat lock via a single lock for safety and convenience. It also features a maintenance free battery and a front hook to carry grocery bags. New Suzuki Let’s is offered in three new colours of Orange/Matte Black (GTW), Royal Blue/Matte Black (BNU), and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB).

The peppy scooter is powered by a 112.8cc, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, 2 valve engine. It produces a humble maximum power of 8.4hp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.8Nm at 6,500rpm. It has the best power to weight ratios which makes it the fastest scooters in its segment. Because of this amazing torque, you can reach 70kmph in no time and you will surely enjoy zipping through city traffic. But for power and performance, it does not compromise on the milage, as it is powered by cutting-edge Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) Technology. With this SEP Technology, the scooter boasts a claimed top-class fuel efficiency of 63kmpl. Suzuki Let’s has a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 litres and boasts a top speed of 85kmph.

Riding the Suzuki Let’s is very comfortable as it is very light and nimble. Upright posture coupled with long supple seat, makes it a very good option for commuting in the city. Not only does it change directions quickly but feels pretty stable while cornering at speeds too. The unique cutaway floorboard on this scooter makes stopping at traffic signals very easy. Coil spring and oil damped telescopic forks at the front and a rear coil spring and oil damped swing arm suspension provides a comfortable ride even on the potholed roads. The ride is provided by 90/100-10 section tubeless tyres covering the steel wheels on both ends. These tubeless tyres have superb stability with minimum air leakage during punctures and offer better control even on high speeds. Braking prowess is decent enough as it is commanded by 120mm drum brakes on both front and rear wheels of the scooter.

With the BSIV update, the new Suzuki Let’s gets an AHO feature which keeps the headlight on at all times to make the scooter visible and safe, in any weather conditions. The decent brakes and tubeless tyres provide enough protection from the undulating and tricky roads in India. To add to its comfort and convenience, it comes with an optional storage box at the front which can hold bottles and other small things. This optional storage box also comes with a mobile charger to charge your smartphones or other electronic devices on the go.
