The 2014 Skoda Yeti is in sync with Skoda’s new design language with a revised nose that has sleek headlamps underscored by a thin LED strip, the horizontal front grille has a central recess at the top to accommodate the Skoda logo housed on the bonnet, in typical Skoda style. The front bumper too has a sleek appearance with rectangular air intakes and fog lamps, it’s only the faux silver bull bar around the central air dam that has a chunky SUVish appearance.
The side profile of the Yeti gets has flared wheel archs while the car also has a bi-colour roof and ORVM casing theme that applies a different paint shade to the aforementioned sections. The Yeti also gets a thin aluminum insert on the door beadings.
The rear of the Skoda Yeti gets a C-shaped LED light section in the tail lights. The tailgate has a flat top section and sloping lines beside the license plate housing, just like on other new Skodas. The chunky rear bumper incorporates a trapezoidal faux air diffuser with twin tail pipes under the left side, along with reflectors at either end.
Inside, the Skoda Yeti has upmarket interiors with good quality plastics and fit and finish. A perfect texture of leather for rough and ready vehicle such as this has been used to trim the steering wheel, gear lever, hand brake and seats. The Yeti has an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory. The Skoda Yeti is a very well equipped vehicle and comes fitted with a host of standard features.
The Skoda Yeti has a potent engine which coupled with short throw manual gearbox, well balanced chassis and suspension setup allows the driver to exploit the potential of the car rather well. The 4x4 model has some clever electronics for enhancing it’s off-road credentials.
