Review of Porsche Boxster

Of all the Porsches sold in India, the Boxster is the cheapest two-seater Porsche that you can buy and the all new Boxster is a completely new model aiming to better its predecessor. The Boxster will compete with the BMW Z4 and Nissan 370Z and Mercedes SLK in India. The new Boxster has considerably lower weight plus has a longer wheelbase, a wider track and larger wheels. The styling of the new Porsche Boxster looks fantastic and it looks low and mean. The  front and rear overhangs are shorter plus its more wide and lower gibing the pure sportscar stance. Inside there is a new fully electric hood. The Porsche Boxster featuresan Alcantara interior which feels great to be in. In features you get audio CD with 7-inch colour touch-screen control, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity. The Boxster S has 19-inch alloy wheels. The Boxster and Boxster S are powered by iconic flat-six engines with direct petrol injection. There is loads of power as the  new  Porsche Boxster gives 265 bhp from a 2.7 litre displacement which is 10 bhp more than its predecessor. Technically, it is now based on the 3.4-litre engine of the Boxster S. The 3.4-litre now delivers 315 bhp, 5 bhp more than before. In India you get the seven-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) which is available as an option. With the new Boxster, Porsche has again raised the bar for performance and it is one of the most exciting sports cars that you can but today. The Boxster S will be the top-seller for India and will neatly fill in before the gap before Cayman sports coupe. For a detailed analysis read below...

New 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman Launched

Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman Launched Porsche has launched the 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster at Rs 81.63 lakh and Rs 85.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. The mid-engine rear-wheel drive philosophy is at the core of the 718s, which makes the car a lot of fun despite its displacement and power figures. Compared to the previous generation of Boxster and Cayman, the new batch has lost 1.5-litre of displacement and two cylinders but picked up a turbocharger along the way. This has helped them squeeze out 300PS of power at 6500rpm and 380Nm of torque from 1950rpm to... Read More

That is a considerable 34PS of gain on the outgoing motor. And if you thought, these power figures translate into burning a... Read More
