Carbon Bronze Pearl
Nighthawk Black Pearl
The Accord got a mild update in Feb 2011 and seems to tick all the right boxes in terms of looks, class, comfort and luxury for a typical buyer of this segment. The new Accord is one of the best looking luxury sedans in its price segment inspite of being around for almost three years in this avatar. Class and opulence are words often associated with the way the Accord carries itself. This is the 8th generation accord and Honda has further tweaked up its exterior design recently. The bumper gets a minor facelift and gets complemented well by the new grille. The rear is enhanced with some chrome bezel around the taillights On the inside, you are greeted with luxurious and well crafted interiors.
The Accord is a very spacious and comfortable place to be on the inside for five adults. There are changes here in the upgraded model and the 2.4-litre engine now gets a sun-roof as standard. The steering wheel gets buttons for the cruise control system but surprisingly you don’t get controls for the music system. To complete the package, the 2.4-litre version also gets wooden inserts in the cabin. Lastly, the car now gets a Jackknife key as standard too. The V6 3.5-litre and 2.4-litre models also have a provision for Bluetooth connectivity and customers can buy it as a Honda Genuine Accessory. The Accord retains all its previous traits of a very comfortable car. Those who love to do back-seat driving won’t really have a reason to complain There is enough leg room, the seats very comfortable and control for the audio system is on avail too.
The Accord continues to be powered by the 2.4-litre four-cylinder as well as the 3.0-litre V6 motor, both being petrol powered and remain unchanged. Like any other Honda engine, they are butter cream smooth and reasonably efficient as well. At the same time though, we at Gaadi.com strongly believe that a diesel option will surely make a huge difference in its sales. The 2.4-litre engine produces 180SP of power with 222Nm of torque and is available in both manual and automatic options. It also has an ARAI rated economy of 12.8 and 11.7kmpl for the manual and auto versions respectively. The V6 has 275PS which more than most of the higher class sedans in the market. The kind of power this engine puts out is tremendous and can easily teach other expensive sedans in the market a thing or two about performance. The 3.0 V6 option is only sold with an auto gearbox and has an ARAI rated economy of 10.20kmpl. Like all Honda cars, the steering is on the lighter side as well which helps in city commutes. The Accord range starts at Rs 20.2 to 27.3 lakhs ex-showroom. The V6 is expenisve for sure but overall the Accord still makes a good luxury choice as it has a good blend of comfort, style and the Honda image and service to fall back on.
The Accord has always scored top marks as far as cabin quality, space and luxury feel goes. On the inside, you are greeted with luxurious and well crafted interiors. The Accord is a very spacious and comfortable place to be on the inside for five adults. There are changes here in the upgraded model and the 2.4-litre engine now gets a sun-roof as standard. The steering wheel gets buttons for the cruise control system but surprisingly you don’t get controls for the music system! I am sure those who like to do the driving themselves will take note of this omission instantly. The good part is that the existing music system has been beefed and definitely sounds at par with some of the more expensive luxury sedans in the market.
The Honda Accord is, without a doubt, a striking luxury sedan and despite of not offering a diesel option, manages to sell almost the same number of units as one of its main competitors, which ofcourse does offer an oil-burner option. The reasons for the Accord’s popularity are plenty. To begin with, as I mentioned in the opening sentence, it is one of the best looking luxury sedans in its price segment inspite of being around for almost three years in this avatar. Class and opulence are words often associated with the way the Accord carries itself.
This is the 8th generation accord and Honda has further tweaked up its exterior design recently. The bumper gets a minor facelift and gets complemented well by the new grille. The rear is enhanced with some chrome bezel around the taillights, the outside RVMs get integrated indicators and ofcourse you can’t help but notice those new gorgeous alloy wheels. These small changes do go a long way in adding more grace to the car that was already a very good looking vehicle. The exterior changes are similar to both the 2.4-litre and 3.0-litre engine models.

Honda Accord poses a bold muscular look with a forward thrusting nose with chiseled coffers, flared fenders for a wider, solid stance, long and sleek headlights, and the other thing twin chrome bars that flank the attractive-looking Honda ‘H’. And the front bumper is less sporty and more grown up; it got sunken machine gun pod-like fog lamps too.

The look of Honda Accord more depends on the side profile which reflects the e aero dynamic contour which makes it a real stunner, the rear view mirror at the side with side indicator on it makes it a real elegant one, it has chiseled Corners and long sleek head lamps which adds beauty to the side profile too and of course the wide opening doors and a Shapely rounded cabin.

At the same time though, we at Gaadi.com strongly believe that a diesel option will surely make a huge difference in its sales. The 2.4-litre engine produces 180SP of power with 222Nm of torque and is available in both manual and automatic options.
For enthusiasts, the 3.0-litre model is the one to go for. It’s technologically advanced too, firing anywhere from three to six cylinders depending on the throttle inputs. These replicate the vibrations that are out of phase with the original ones and counteract the engine displacements in any direction so that none of these vibrations are transmitted into the cabin. Then to compensate for the boom, they use Active Noise Control System that cancels out any booming noises in real time by emitting out of phase sound waves from

Like all Honda cars, the steering is on the lighter side as well which helps in city commutes. It frees up as speeds build up and though it isnt very direct in the feedback, you never feel nervous or insecure while doing high speeds. While the 2.4 model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, the more powerful V6 version comes with lower profile 17-inch wheels which go aid handling a lot. Braking is good with ABS with EBD. Plus it has driver and passenger airbags.
Handling is improved.
Not as much safety features like other rivals, handling still floaty.
The potent, light and free-revving V6 is an absolute joy to use. It delivers considerable punch after 4500rpm and the best bit is that it keeps pulling hard in a linear manner all the way to 7000rpm.While the Accord does feel well balanced and points in nicely, the soft suspension, inert steering and only average agility mean this is a car that does not really like being cornered hard.
Honda Accord is equipped with Power-Assisted Ventilated Front Disc/Solid Rear Disc Brakes 11.8 / 11.1 inches which is quite good at its performance.
Front 3-Point Seat Belts with Automatic Tensioning System Driver's and Front Passenger's Seat Belt Reminder , Dual-Stage, Multiple-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS), Dual-Chamber Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side, Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), Side Curtain Airbags, Driver's and Front Passenger's Active Head Restraints, Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Traction Control Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) Electronic Brake D
Dual-Chamber Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS)
There is a vehicle stability assist system which also incorporates a traction control that can be switched off. It can come quite handy during insane lane change maneuvers but its full potential couldn’t be realized on the straight roads.
The Accord is meant for pure luxury and hence it comes as no surprise that the suspension is tuned more for comfort than for enthusiastic driving. This is a vehicle that feels best on open roads at triple digit speeds when all the minor imperfections are being absorbed easily by the set-up. Road noise is limited and NVH levels very good.
Great comfortable suspension and low noise.
Slightly stiff lwo speed ride.
Elegant yet modern, the vast well-appointed cabin and the graceful woody panel of the Accord is designed to transport you new level of indulgence. The internal geometry of the Accord is so ingeniously conceived that it makes brilliant use of every inch of available space. The seating is as comfortable for rear passengers as it is for those in the front.
The Honda Accord consists of Independent Double Wishbone with Coil Spring and Stabilizer for front suspension.
While the rear Suspension of Honda Accord is Multilink with Coil Spring and Stabilizer.
Pros The Best Stunner ever in this Category...
Cons A little too big to Handle
I read and researched a lot about Honda Accord Vs Skoda Superb before ultimately settling in on an Accord and Thank God for that. Accord is premium luxury car in this segment and the Superb pales in comparison . Agreed interior wise nothing to beat Superb but the Engine, the Looks, The ASS, the Honda Badge, the drive and The assurance of quality makes the Accord a winner by miles.

Pros Style, class, performance and economy loaded into ONE
Cons Nothing in this budget
I've had a Honda Accord 4-Cyl LX for nearly two years and absolutely love the car. The moment one gets behind the wheel, and steps on the gas, it simply is a joy to drive and maneuver this device. Its got all the features and more one can ask for in this budget and is great for a busy city life or a weekend getaway with tons of space.

Pros Great Looks,Fuel Efficiency,
Cons Average Interiors,
I think it is the most fuel efficient car in the range, I love back seat its like premium sofa, it is farrrrr better than any other car in its class as well as its upper class, comfort wise i think others cars are over priced than my accord. ( bmw 3 series, audi a4,..), performence wise doing its best for that price, mielage far better than i think before i buy the car ( as other people who was not using accord said it gives less mielage)..

Pros Great Looks,Great Interiors,Comfort,
Cons Average Fuel Efficiency,
I just hope if Honda Accord can give me an average of 10 instead of 5 to 6. Petrol prices are increasing every now and then, Honda should consider equiping the vehicle with a fuel efficiency device.
