Audi has launched the new Q5 in India. The changes to the exteriors include a new six-point grille, re-designed bumper and upgraded taillights and headlamps. What you will like is the interior design of the headlights which has been modified and you get LED daytime running lights. Audi also offers the optional adaptive light with dynamic cornering light and static turning light. The black Single frame grille with its vertical chrome struts and the famous Audi rings give it more presence. The updated SUV is 4.63 meters (15.19 feet) long, 1.90 meters (6.23 feet) wide and 1.65 meters (5.41 feet) tall.
The leather upholstery on the seats provide side support when driving hard and good under thigh support to the passenger and driver. Leg space looked a little cramped when the car was parked. As it turned out, the seat was set so far back that inspite of being close to six feet, I could not reach the peddles. When the seat was adjusted to my driving position there was more than adequate leg space for the rear passengers. The interior of the new Audi Q5 now has many of the controls like the steering column control stalks, ignition key and instruments which are modifified. New Audi Q5 has got modfied engines in form of 2.0 TFSI making 225 PS and 2.0 TDI making 177 PS. There is also the3.0-litre, V6 diesel with common-rail diesel injection that makes 245bhp. Drawing on four cylinders and two litres of displacement as well, the 2.0 TDI is superbly refined thanks to a new common-rail fuel injection system; like the petrol engine, it has two balancing shafts. The 3.0 diesel is fun to drive and is very powerful. Audi has improved the fuel economy in the Q5 and the 2.0 TDI now gives 16.66 kmpl which is impressive.
