We all want taxi and cab services which are economical and fit our budget easily. Maruti has picked up on the need of the customers and has rebadged the old DZire and called it DZire Tour. Recently it has launched the new DZire that has a lot of nip and tuck done to it and made shorter to fit into a cheaper (and by this we mean the taxes levied by the governement on the car during registration) segment of cars. The old DZire wasnt taken off from the assembly lines, the designers got busy and have only changed the appearance of the car and put a new badge on it, calling it the DZire Tour. This version of the DZire will only be used as taxis and cabs.

Available in a Petrol and a Diesel variant, it has been priced at INR 4.88 lakh and INR 5.91 lakh respectively. The standard features on the car include an AC system and power steering. There are only 3 things that have been changed in this new launch - the front and rear bumpers which are now black, the outside rear view mirror which is black too and the "Maruti Suzuki" badge on the boot which is now a printed sticker instead of the chrome lettering.

Maruti did not hold a launch ceremony for the DZire Tour, but simply made it available for commercial buyers at their dealerships. The personal car buyers would be buying the new DZire, the dimensions of which would give a customs tax cut and comes with better features and quality than the old Dzire, and has better mileage and more goodies.
