Honda Motor Company, one of the world’s largest two-wheeler and car manufacturers, is all set to showcase the new Jazz hatchback at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show in October. Earlier images of the car showed a more mature rear design and a rather tall exterior profile. Latest spy images of the New Jazz have now revealed a minimalist instrument dashboard in the vehicle.

The all-black dashboard in the new Jazz seems to be inspired by the full-sized Honda Civic sedan. It may be divided into parts where the center screen will display the car’s engine rev, running speed and other functions. Most of these functions are likely to be operated by steering-mounted control buttons. The new Jazz is unlikely to have the more round-shaped buttons like that in the outgoing version and could be borrowed from the latest Accord.

The infotainment system is placed in the middle of the dashboard and seems to be bigger than the usual 7-inch screens seen in most cars.

The latest images of the new Honda Jazz that have since gone viral over the internet don’t reveal much about the vehicle’s exterior design. The car, like all test models, was heavily camouflaged. The spied vehicle, unlike the earlier one spotted, has no roof rails. However, it has a shark fin antenna, a quarter glass in the front, and daytime running lights (DRLs) around the headlights.

Honda has already disclosed that the new Jazz will be hauled by a new, compact hybrid engine, inspired by the Accord i-MMD. The latter runs on a dual motor. The powertrain, going forward, will be used in smaller and mid-sized Honda cars as well. The upcoming Honda City is expected to be fitted with the new powertrain.

The new Honda Jazz, when introduced in India, will rival the Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Elite i20, and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in its class.
