Renault Triber To Be Launched In Mid-2019

  • Apr 06, 2019

Based on a new platform and not on the earlier rumoured Kwid’s CMF-A platform, the Renault RBC to be called the Triber. It will be launched in mid-2019 and positioned between the Lodgy and the Kwid. Having spotted several times covered with camouflage, the new Triber can be either a compact MPV or a premium hatchback. However, the poster with its official name on it provides us with a hint of it being a 5-seater spacious model with modular seating and generous cabin space.

The spy shots captured earlier reveal that it will get projector headlamps, daytime running lights, and 15-inch alloy wheels on the outside. While on the inside, expect it to come with four airbags, a dual-tone interior scheme (black and beige as seen on the test mules), chrome accents around the dashboard and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Mechanically, the Triber is expected to get a 1.2-litre petrol engine that also powers the Nissan Micra or the Datsun GO. There is a possibility of it being powered by the Renault’s 1.0-litre  turbocharged petrol engine too. The official word on the powertrain options is yet to come out. And it will also be interesting to see if the automaker launches the Triber with a diesel engine or not.

Expected to be priced between Rs 5 lakh and 7.5 lakh, the new Renault Triber is likely to be out in the market by July 2019. Stay tuned with us for more details regarding the Triber, including features, engine details, and launch information.
