New Renault Duster Adventure launched in India

New Renault Duster Adventure Edition Front Right Quarter Splash

Renault had launched the all-new Duster in March 2016, introducing a host of improvements over the previous model, inlcuding an all-new automatic (Automated Manual) transmission. The company has now launched the Adventure trim of the Duster to reel in more customers this festive season.

The previous model of the Duster also had the 'Adventure Edition' trim, it added much-needed flair inside-out to the otherwise simple looking compact-SUV. It proved to be a popular model too, which is why Renault has decided to introduce the variant with the new model too.

Customers can choose the Adventure Edition trim on the RXE 85 PS, RXL 85 PS and RXZ AWD 110 PS variants respectively. There are no mechanical changes made to the Duster Adventure Edition trim.

What is new? First, there are two new paint options exclusive to the Duster Adventure Edition - Outback Bronze and Slate Grey, apart from these the car is also available in Pearl White and Moonlight Silver paint options. Cosmetic changes on the outside include a shiny-black front grille, orange faux-scuff plates front and rear, front bumper extenion with lights and 'Duster' branding, 'Adventure' side decals, matte black wheel arch and door claddings, mustard yellow roof rails with 'Duster' branding, rear chrome garnish with 'Duster' branding etc.

On the inside, the Duster Adventure Edition trim is fitted with 'stone-washed Denim' seat covers - these can be removed and are cleanable. Black fabric door inserts, mustard yellow air vents and instrument clsuter centre ring, chrome door handles, new floor mats and mustard yellow steering wheel stiching complete the cosmetic changes on the inside.

The Renault Duster Adventure Edition trim will also be offered with a SmartApp which is compatible with both Android and iPhones (5S and up). It can maintain trip records and comes with pre set goals for distance, speed and time. It also offers safety alerts and can also scan and save important documents related to the car for safe-keeping.

The Duster Adventure edition is still powered by the same 1.5 dCi motor as is used on the standard Duster. Available in two performance trims, the 85 PS and the 110PS, the Duster is fitted with ither a 5-speed manual transmision or a 6-speed manual transmission. The 110 PS motor has an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.72 kmpl, while the 85 PS motor returns 19.87 kmpl.

The Renault Duster Adventure Edition is available in three variants, and they are priced as follows (ex-showroom Delhi):

Adventure Edition RXE 85 PS - Rs 9.64 Lakh
Adventure Edition RXL 85 PS - Rs 10.45 Lakh
Adventure Edition RXZ AWD 110 PS - Rs 13.77 Lakh
