Mercedes-Benz unveils 2013 G-Class

The good old G-Class gets a new life with unveiling of 2013 version of the SUV. Additions like day-time running lamps, new 5-spoke alloy wheels, a new grille refreshes the classic looking G-Class with modern technology. From the inside, Mercedes-Benz has worked to add the Parktronic assistance, Comand Online system, instrument cluster with color display, heated mirrors with world renowned -  Harmon Kardon surround sound music system.

Mercedes-Benz also added the G63 AMG variant which churns out 550PS of raw output along with the 211PS generating G350 BlueTec version. AMG powered G55 mills out huge 760Nm of torque which has 60Nm odd more torque than the out-going G-Class. The Germans also improved the fuel efficiency of the SUV by 15%, which now stands at 7.36 kilometer per liter. The G-Class is fitted with the permanent all-wheel-drive system in which differential locks can be engaged at different ratios. Also, the new G-Class gets four wheel Electronic Traction System (4ETS) and a low-range gear reduction system.

The new G-Class will start moving in the production line by September 2012 and will carry a price tag of Rs. 71.74 lakh for the G350 BlueTec while the G63 AMG will be made available for 1.06 Crore.
