Maruti Rolls Out Mobile Nexa Showroom

  • Jun 07, 2019

India’s largest car manufacturer by volumes, Maruti Suzuki, has launched a mobile Nexa terminal to reach out to prospective customers in areas where the company has no showrooms. Nexa is a chain of automobile dealerships owned and operated by Maruti, showcasing premium cars. The mobile Nexa terminal has been built on a flatbed truck and can be taken to various towns when required.

Maruti launched the Nexa retail chain in 2015 to showcase its top-end cars like the Baleno, S-Cross, Ciaz, and Ignis. None of these cars are sold from the Maruti authorised dealerships. The Nexa dealerships contribute around 20 percent to the company’s annual sales revenue and have more than 9 lakh customers in India.

Speaking at the launch of the mobile terminal, Maruti executive director (sales and marketing) Shashank Srivastava, said that ever since Nexa was launched four years ago, it has grown rapidly and is now the most successful premium car retail network in the Indian market.

Maruti has set up more than 360 Nexa showrooms that cover over 200 cities. The new Nexa mobile terminal, he said, will help the company to connect with customers in remote areas.

Maruti recently announced to plan to expand its footprints across India by setting up smaller showrooms in smaller towns.
