Maruti manufactures 5 lakh units of K-series engines

Maruti Suzuki has reached the milestone of manufacturing 5 lakh K-series engines within 2 years. The company had started to produce the latest generation of engine in October 2008.


The K-series now powers seven models of Maruti, that include the latest product Alto K10, Wagon R, Estilo, Swift, Ritz, A-Star and Swift Dzire. The company has scaled up the production of the engine manifold in a short span of time. The introduction of K-series engine in India is an example of Maruti Suzuki's commitment to take the engine technology in India to the next level, according to Shinzo Nakanishi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India.
