Mahindra teases XUV Aero Concept

Ahead of the 2016 Auto Expo, Indian car maker, Mahindra and Mahindra has teased us with the design sketch of the XUV5OO based Aero concept.

The new SUV concept has been designed by the company's Indian design team in the country in collaboration with Italian car styling giant - Pininfarin (now owned by Mahindra & Mahindra Group). According to the company, the concept will reflect new-age design silhouette and will be loaded with state-of-the-art gadgetry.

Mahindra  will have a Design Studio at the expo showcasing 'behind the scenes' on the development of the XUV Aero Concept. From the sketch, it is clear that the XUV Aero Concept have a coupe-like body style making the compact SUV look aggressive and bold. This would be complemented by flared wheel arches, sloping roofline and a sporty rear end.

The concept model will also play an important role in demonstrating Mahindra's new infotainment system. Expect future models to be equipped with these latest technologies and features. UK-spec SsangYong Tivoli

Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra,  Pawan Goenka said, " Indian customers like a little bit of flamboyance. It would be a little bit over the top. Some experts may say M&M has gone overboard; I would say, Yes! M&M has gone overboard by design and not by accident."

Along with the new Mahindra XUV500 Aero Concept, the car manufacturer will also showcase 20 other models including the e2o Sports, which equipped with wireless charging and will be supplemented by fully electric versions of the Maxximo and Verito.

A customised TUV3OO , based on the Ssangyong Tivoli will also be a part of the showcase at the 2016 Auto Expo.
