Mahindra Recalls XUV300 For Suspension-related Issue

Is your Mahindra XUV300 affected? Well, if you are a buyer of the XUV300 manufactured before 19 May 2019, then probably yes. Mahindra XUV300 has been recalled for a possible suspension-related issue, only a limited batch of cars are said to be affected. Currently, the number of units that the company has recalled is unknown.

According to Mahindra, the owners of affected vehicles will be contacted soon and if their cars are found to be affected, the company will do the required replacement free of cost. Currently, the company hasn’t shared any details on whether cars with faulty parts can be driven or not.

While the company will be contacting the buyers, we recommend you to pay a visit to your nearest Mahindra service station for checking if your SUV comes under the recall.

The Mahindra XUV300 was launched in February this year with petrol and diesel engine options. While the 1.2-litre petrol comes coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 1.5-litre diesel engine comes mated to an AMT. The performance of 1.5 turbo diesel is rated at 116.5 PS and 300 Nm, whereas, for petrol, the max power is rated at 111.5 PS and torque at 200 Nm.

The sub-4 metre SUV is priced between Rs 8.1 lakh and Rs 12.69 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The XUV300 competes against the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and Ford EcoSport.
