Mahindra Bolero Pik-up BS4 launched

Mahindra has launched BS IV versions of its Bolero pick-up truck for the commercial market. Available in two variants, prices for the flat bed BS IV Mahindra Bolero CNG pick-up (spelled as ‘pik-up’) is pegged at Rs. 6.63 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the power steering equipped version’s price is not known at the moment.

The Mahindra Bolero pik-up truck is powered by a 2,523cc, four cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine developing 63PS of max power @ 3,200 rpm and 195Nm of peak torque between 1,800 and 2,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with a single plate dry clutch. The Mahindra Bolero Pik-up has a top speed of 110 km/h. It has a payload of 1,250 kg. The Bolero Pik-up is claimed to offer a fuel economy figure of 14 km/l. The pick-up truck comes with a 57 litre fuel tank.

Under pinning the Mahindra Bolero Pik-up is a ladder frame chassis with front and rear leaf spring suspension and hydraulic double acting telescopic dampers. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear. Ground clearance has been measured at 200mm. The power steering equipped model weighs in at 1,710 kg. Mahindra Bolero Pik-up flat bed has a two-seater cabin.

The Mahindra Bolero Pik-up comes with a 1 year and unlimited kilometer warranty. Oil change intervals are spaced between 20,000 km while gear oil change intervals are priced between 1 lakh kilometers.
