The Lamborghini Huracan Avio Special Edition is based on the Huracan LP 610-4 and features no mechanical additions at all. Yes, this is mostly a cosmetic job - though there is new standard equipment on offer.

Lamborghini Huracan Avio Front Left Side Profile

The Huracan Avio Special Edition pays tribute to the Italian Airforce, it features matte base colours with offset contrast colour stripes, contrast colour front spoiler lip accents, contrast colour ORVM covers, contrast colour side skirts, contrast colour rear diffuser and the Italian tricolour cockades (concentric badges) on the doors. There are five base colours on offer for international markets, though it is not known if all of them will be offered to customers here. The paint scheme you see in the photos here is called Ble Grifo. "L 63" logos can be seen on the door panels - the 'L' represents Lamborghini and the '63' denotes the year the company came into being. The wheels are cast-alloys 20-inch units, the front wheels are fitted with 245mm section tyres while the rears are 305mm sections.

The Lamborghini Huracan Avio Special Edition is basically a Huracan LP 610-4 underneath - which means that it is powered by a 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated, V10 petrol motor developing 610PS of maximum power at 8,250rpm and 560Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The mid-mounted engine powers all four wheels via fifth-generation Haldex electronically controlled AWD system. A Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (fancy speak for dual-clutch) transmission allows for lightning fast shifts and a 0-100kmph time of 3.2 seconds.
