Isuzu Motors India has launched a new top-level model of the D-Max V-Cross at an ex-showroom price of ₹19.99 lakh. The vehicle gets a new 1.9-litre diesel motor mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission (AT) system for the first time. Earlier models of the V-Cross were hauled by a 2.5-litre diesel motor. The company claims that the 1.9-litre engine has been introduced to make the car more fuel-efficient and powerful. It produces 150PS maximum power and 350Nm peak torque. The 1.9-litre engine’s output is 16PS and 30Nm more than the earlier unit. The new engine, like the earlier version, has an all-wheel setup but is still BS-IV compliant. Isuzu reportedly has plans to introduce a BS-VI version of the 1.9-litre motor in the future.

The D-Max V-Cross will be available in the standard, high (Z), and the new Z-Prestige limited edition models. The Z-Prestige will come in blue, black, red, and white colour options. Other trims of the D-Max V-Cross will get the sliver and grey colour schemes. Isuzu has already opened bookings for the D-Max V-Cross AT and deliveries are expected to begin later this month.

The V-Cross Z-Prestige has two-tone leather upholstery with soft-touch dashboard panels. The door trims are also two-tone, unlike the all-black treatment in other variants. The car has an eight-speaker system including a new roof-mounted unit. The Z-Prestige has six airbags, including the additional curtain and side units. The safety apparatus comprises the antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The high-end trims get a brake override system, electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control.

Other features of the D-Max V-Cross comprise projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), automatic climate control, six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, reverse parking camera, and electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).
