Hyundai Verna Facelift Spotted, India Launch Likely In 2020

  • Jan 30, 2019

The fifth generation of the ever popular Hyundai Verna was launched back in August 2017 and has seen its fair share of success in the market. Fast forward to Jan 2019, a facelifted test mule was spotted in China with camouflage. This could mean that a launch is eminent in 2020, perhaps in the first half. Hyundai will take this opportunity to upgrade the engines to meet BSVI emission norms, set to kick off from April 2020.

The facelift is likely to take its design cues from the big brother, the Elantra, adopting Hyundai’s new design. This is affirmed by the spy images showcasing sleek head and tail lamps similar to the updated Elantra. Changes to the interior might be minimalistic and is hard to say at this early stage.

As of now, the Verna is available with a multitude of engines, 1.4L, and 1.6L in both petrol and diesel. It is currently priced between Rs 8.01 – Rs 13.99 lakh.
