Korean carmaker Hyundai is all set to launch its new sub-4m Venue sports utility vehicle (SUV) on May 21 in India in five models. The car will be available in turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol, 1.4-litre diesel, and turbocharged 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engines. However, ahead of its official debut, key features of the car’s variants have been leaked online.

Here are the major features to expect from Hyundai’s new compact SUV.

Venue E: The Venue E is the entry-level model and has impact sensing door unlock, inside rearview mirror (IRVM), and a tilt adjustable steering.

Venue S: The S variant includes the basic features along with keyless entry, rear power windows, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), rear AC vents, rear defogger, and an audio system with steering-mounted controls. The automatic transmission version also gets electronic stability control.

Venue SX: Hyundai is not offering the turbocharged, 1.2-litre petrol motor from the SX model onwards. It has a number of add-on and functional features over and above the S model.

Venue SX+: This is the most feature-rich version in the Venue series and is available with the 1.0-litre engine as an option along with automatic, dual-clutch transmission. The SX+ is available only in monotone exterior colours. It includes all the features of the SX model, along with wireless charger, chrome door handles, telematics, automatic day/night IRVM, 8-inch AVN system, and a smart key with push-button ignition.

Venue SX (O): The top-end SX (O) trim of the Hyundai Venue has manual transmission and comes in the 1.4-litre and 1.0-litre engine options. The SX (O) is offered only in a monotone exterior colour. Major features, besides that in the SX+ model, includes sliding front centre armrest, 60:40 split rear seat, rear passenger armrest, and side and curtain airbags.

The Hyundai Venue sub-4m SUV is expected to command an ex-showroom price of ₹7.2-12 lakh. It will compete with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Ford EcoSport.
