Hyundai Opens Official Bookings For Venue

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has officially opened the bookings for the Venue subcompact sports utility vehicle (SUV) for a token amount of INR21,000. The company has informed that customers who have pre-booked the Venue, can contact their respective dealers to get the car delivered earlier. The Venue will debut in India on 21 May.




Hyundai is offering the new car in five variants. The three engines being offered are the 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol, and the 1.4-litre diesel units. The entry-level S variant of the car is fitted with the 1.2-litre petrol motor and is paired to a manual transmission system. The 1.4-litre diesel engine is available as an option in the Venue S.




Hyundai will be launching the Venue is a number of exterior monotone and dual-tone colours. The monotone colours include Fiery Red, Polar White, Star Dust, Typhoon Silver, Lava Orange, Deep Forest, and Denim Blue. The dual-tone colour options comprise orange with black roof, white with black roof, and blue with white roof.




Hyundai is yet to reveal the model-specific features of the Venue. However, the top-end car in the Venue series will come with an electronic sunroof, projector headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), wireless mobile phone charging, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, air purifier, six airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), hill launch assist, rear parking sensors and camera, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and electronic stability control (ESC). The Venue also has the Hyundai Blue telematics along with internet-based (eSIM) connectivity features.

The Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV will face competition from Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and the Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian market. The Venue is expected to command a price of INR7 lakh for the entry-level model and INR12 lakh for the top-end version.
