Hyundai Launches Special Edition Xcent at 6.22 Lakh

Exterior-wise, the limited edition Xcent comes with side decals, chrome touches on the grill, spoiler and 20th anniversary badging. Inside, you get touchscreen infotainment system and red-black seats.

This year, Hyundai Motor company completed two decades of operations in India (read more here). The company has marked this occasion with the launch of a special edition of its Xcent compact sedan. The Xcent 20th anniversary limited edition will only be sold in the mid-level S variant with a price tag of 6.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol and 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the diesel variant.

This special edition Xcent commands an extra Rs. 16,999 over the regular S variant, and the company plans to build just 2,400 units of the same. Some of the cosmetic updates on the limited edition Xcent include side decals, chrome touches on the grille, spoiler and 20th anniversary badging on the back. Inside, the upholstery is spruced up with black and red dual-tone fabric, and a 6.2-inch Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment system.

Although it gets updated looks, the mechanical components of the car are similar to the regular Xcent. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.1-litre, three-cylinder diesel motor. Max power output is 83PS from the petrol engine and 70PS from the diesel unit, whereas, the peak torque produced is 114Nm from the petrol motor and 180Nm from the diesel unit. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additionally, a four-speed automatic unit is also offered with the petrol variants. Dimension-wise, the Xcent is 3,995mm in length, 1,660mm wide and 1,520mm tall.
