Going against the tide, Fiat has announced a reduction in prices of the Punto Evo and Linea in India. The carmaker has seen a dip in sales in the last quarter of 2016 in comparison to 2015. With the drop in prices, the Linea range now starts at Rs 7.25 lakh while the Punto Evo range starts from Rs 5.45 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
Fiat has opted to drop the ex-showroom prices of the cars in 2017 against offering a cartel discount. The move will reduce registration and insurance costs for the new vehicles, albeit marginally. The drop in prices for the Linea range falls between Rs 30000-Rs 78000 and for the Punto Evo range, it is between Rs 37000-Rs 48000, different for different variants.
