Audi India might showcase its new Audi TT S models at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. Internationally, the Audi TT S models are available in two body styles, namely, TT S Roadster and TT S Coupe. This will not be something new to the Indian car market, as the German car manufacturer already offers the recently launched Audi TT in the country at Rs 60.34 lakh.

Coming back to Audi TT S models, the TT S Roadster was first showcased at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The new design language, drive, suspension and most importantly the Audi virtual cockpit are the main highlights of the car. This is for the first time the automaker has equipped the TT S model with the digital instrument cluster which is driver centric and gives all the information to the driver.

The control system has a reworked MMI terminal that features six hard buttons and the natural language control that makes it easier to operate when driving. With the help of this new control system, the driver can use the buttons to scroll through lists, zoom in on maps and enter characters.

In international markets, the company offers the TT S Roadster in two turbocharged, four-cylinder engine options. A 2.0-litre petrol TFSI outputs 312 PS of maximum power and 380 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre diesel motor, on the other hand, produces around 186 PS and 380 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. The top-end model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. The 2.0 TFSI is likely to come mated with a manual six-speed and an optional six-speed S Tronic, dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifter on the steering wheel. All the power from the engine will be sent to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system that has been reworked to make driving more comfortable on any road condition.

Just like the TT S Roadster, the TT S Coupe comes with pronounced dynamics and advanced technologies. The coupe model offers sports interiors with flowing lines, door trims and center console tunnel. The slender instrument panel resembles a wing of an aircraft, while the round air vents look similar to jet engines. Besides these, Audi has revised almost the entire colour range and materials to keep the sportiness of the new TT S Coupe.

Another new development made to the car is the low-mounted sports seats that weigh five kilograms less than the previous model. The TT S Coupe also comes with S sports seats with integrated head restraints and pneumatically adjustable side bolsters. Moreover, the luggage compartment under the rear hatch provides a boot space of 305 litres.
