2019 Maserati Quattroporte Launched At A Starting Price Of Rs 1.74 Crore

Maserati, the Italian automaker of premium cars has launched the 2019 Quattroporte sedan in the country. The luxury sedan gets new colour options, refreshed interiors, and new wheel designs. However, what remains the same as before is the only diesel engine option. The two new exterior colours are Blu Nobile and Rosso Potente. Additionally, there are two new alloy designs that are available in 20- and 21-inch options.

Inside, the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte gets full-grain Pieno Fiore leather trim available in three colours and two extremely glossy veneers, both on offer as an optional upgrade. Moreover, the gearshift lever has been redesigned and upgraded for better operation. According to Maserati, the gearshift lever now comes with shorter travel and intuitive shift pattern which will make driving the sedan even more joyful.

With the new gearshift lever for the 8-speed ZF transmission system, the driver now gets an option to switch between manual and auto modes by moving the lever sideways. Additionally, the driver can put it in park mode by pressing now available new ‘P’ button.

The 2019 Maserati Quattroporte continues to house the same 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine as before that churns out a max power of 275PS and a peak torque of 600Nm. The power is transferred to the rear wheels by an 8-speed ZF transmission.

Available in two variants, GranLusso and Gransport, the 2019 Quattroporte rivals the BMW 730Ld and the Mercedes-Benz S350d in the Indian market. As far as pricing is concerned, the Quattroporte GranLusso is priced at Rs 1.74 crore, while the Quattroporte Gransport gets a price tag of Rs 1.79 crore (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
