2019 Honda Civic To Launch On March 7

It’s official now that the all-new Civic will be launched on March 7. Making a comeback after six years, the new Honda Civic will be offered withl a diesel powertrain for the first time in the country.

Along with the i-VTEC 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces a max power of 141 PS and a peak torque of 174 Nm, the new tenth-gen sedan will come with a 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine that puts out 120 PS and 300 Nm. While the petrol version will come mated to a 7-speed CVT, the diesel engine will be paired to only a 6-speed manual transmission.

The top-end Civic will have vehicle stability control, traction control, electric parking brake, Honda Lane Watch and a total of six airbags. It will carry a ZX badge at the back, which came to light after its spy shots surfaced the web. The spy video showed us LED taillamps, LED headlamps and a shark-fin antenna. Expect it to run on 17-inch shoes instead of 18 inches that are offered with the US-spec model.

The interiors will be all-new for the Indian audience, with enhanced luxury, comfort, and sophistication. Some more interesting features that will be included on the 2019 Civic are 7-inch infotainment system with touchscreen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, dual-zone climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver seat and remote engine AC start.

Available in three variants and five colours, Honda Cars India have started accepting pre-launch bookings for the all-new Civic at a token of Rs 31,000. The five colour choices on offer are Lunar Silver, Modern Steel, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown, and Radiant Red.

Challenging the likes of the Skoda Octavia and the Toyota Corolla Altis, the all-new Honda Civic is expected to be priced between Rs 16 and 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
