2019 Ford Figo To Get A Starting Price Of Rs 4.99 Lakh?

  • Mar 14, 2019

The 2019 Ford Figo is scheduled to launch on the 15th of this month with a more powerful petrol engine, new features, and cosmetic upgrades. Despite the more features and aesthetic enhancement, we expect the pricing of the new model to undercut the price of the outgoing version. This is because the new Figo facelift will be positioned below the Ford Freestyle in the brand’s lineup.

Launched a year ago, the Ford Freestyle is available to buy at a starting price of Rs 5.43 lakh which goes up to Rs 8.03 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the Ford Figo currently retails in the price bracket of Rs 5.83 lakh and Rs 7.08 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol version, the price range for the 1.5-litre diesel is Rs 6.31 lakh to Rs 7.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The 2019 Ford Figo will feature a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Dragon Series engine that also powers the Freestyle and the Aspire. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, it will produce a max power of 96PS and a peak torque of 120Nm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, will be the same as before. It produces 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque.

Additionally, the Figo facelift is expected to get an auto variant, with a three-cylinder 1.5-litre engine under the hood, mated to a 6-speed torque converter.

We expect the price of the Figo facelift to start from Rs 4.99 lakh for the 1.2-litre petrol variant, while for the 1.5-litre diesel it would begin from Rs 5.84 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Following is the complete list of the Figo facelift expected prices.
