2019 Ford Figo Facelift Launched At Starting Price Of Rs 5.15 lakh

Ford has launched the 2019 Figo facelift with cosmetic updates, new petrol engine options and features inside the cabin. Available in three variants, Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu, the new Figo undercuts the previous Figo in terms of price. The Figo facelift starts at Rs 5.15 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.09 lakh (ex-showroom India), while the pre-facelift model retailed in the range of Rs 5.82 lakh and Rs 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

On the outside, the Figo facelift gets restyled headlamps, reworked front, and rear bumpers and Aspire-like mesh front grille. Inside, the dashboard is inspired by the one seen inside the Freestyle and the Aspire. Additionally, the Figo facelift gets an all-black interior, unlike the Freestyle, which comes with dual-tone black and brown cabin and the Aspire, which features a beige-finished cabin.

On the features front, it gets ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, seatbelt reminder for the front passenger and rear parking sensors as standard. The Titanium Blue gets segment’s first side and curtain airbags, while the Titanium automatic features hill start assist, traction control, and electronic stability program. Further, it gets keyless entry, auto headlamps, power adjustable ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, push button start/stop, auto climate control and 7-inch infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth functionalities.

Under the hood, it gets two new three-cylinder petrol engines,1.2-litre and 1.5-litre. While the former is taken from the Freestyle which produces a max power of 96PS and a peak torque of 120Nm, the latter is borrowed from the EcoSport that generates 123PS and 150Nm of power and torque respectively. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is the same as before. It churns out 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque.

On the transmission front, the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engines come coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter.

In the Indian market, the Figo facelift competes against the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 and the Maruti Suzuki Swift. Following are the ex-showroom prices for different Figo facelift variants.
