After the 2017 Porsche 911 made its official debut at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show, it has become a hot topic for the auto enthusiasts. The company will be launching the latest 911 range of sports cars in India on 29th June 2016. Porsche is known to build some of the most fun-to-drive sports cars. The brand has focused on this aspect since the beginning and remained true to its roots.

However, a lot has been changed in the latest 911 range. Although the overall silhouette of the sportscar looks the same, it now gets a redesigned central air dam, larger air intakes and dark chrome accents. Additionally, the lighting system makes use of new rear lights and a new pair of headlights with projector & LED daytime running lights. Some other subtle exterior changes include door handles without recess covers and a new rear lid with vertical louvre.

Inside, the car gets a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with navigation function and Apple CarPlay for a better infotainment experience. The users can also input by handwriting and their smartphones can be connected to the car software via Wi-Fi.

The controversial part of the updated 911 Carrera is that it loses its trademark flat-six engine and gets a 3.0-litre twin turbocharged unit. Now, the standard Carrera gets 370PS of max power and 450Nm of peak torque. The Carrera S uses the same 3.0-litre engine but makes 420PS of max power and 500Nm of peak torque. The top-of-the-line 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S get a 3.8-litre bi-turbo engine that dishes out 547PS and 588PS of power, respectively.
