2016 Auto Expo: Jaguar Land Rover launches new XE, unveils F-Pace

Jaguar Land Rover has an exciting range of vehicles in India including the F-Type, Evoque, XJ L and the likes. The Tata-owned British company has surely seen a good future in India and has revealed even more exciting range that includes the all-new products - Jaguar XE and Jaguar F-Pace. Here is a glimpse of what Jaguar did at the 2016 Auto Expo.

Jaguar XE:

Jaguar XE

The XE is the smallest offering on the Jaguar-Land Rover line-up and has been launched in the market at a starting price of Rs. 39.9, ex-showroom Delhi. The car is positioned below the XF and competes against the likes of BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class. The XE sedan was first revealed in 2015 and carries design language of the Jaguar XF. The XE looks sharp and has striking design to catch any pair of eyes. From the side, the XE looks very elegant - the long bonnet and the stubby boot make it very unique in the segment. The Jaguar XE unmistakably looks very aggressive for its segment. The rear tail lamps look very much inspired by the F-Type. The XE sure will turn a lot of heads on the road.

a 2.0-litre petrol mill in two states of tune. It develop 200 PS of power @ 5500 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1750 rpm in the base 'Pure' variant and 240 PS of power @ 5500 rpm and 340 Nm of peak torque @ 2000-4000 rpm in the high-end 'Portfolio' variant. The engine is mated with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Jaguar F-Pace:

2016 Jaguar F-Pace

The F-Pace is the first ever performance crossover from the Jaguar-Land Rover family, with the dynamic abilities of a sportscar. The F-Pace carries dominant features of the Jaguar family and bold design elements. The F-Pace has 22-inch alloys that put a drooling show when the car is on the move. The F-Pace rear also looks very inspired by the F-Type and the 5-seater crossover has elegant features inside like the leather and fine wood work with highlights of aluminum.

The F-Pace is powered by new Ingenium 2.0-litre diesel engine that also powers the XE. In the F-Pace, the engine delivers 180 PS of maximum power with 430 Nm of maximum torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all the four-wheels of the car.
