Bonneville Bobber Expert Review

Here is what our experts feel about Bonneville Bobber

March 29, 2017: The all-new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is launched at Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The classic bike borrows its styling from the chopped up bikes of the 40s and its powertrain from the T120. A bobber, in essence, is a motorcycle chopped off with only the bare essentials. The weight loss therapy helps the bike go faster.

The Bobber retains the old-school aesthetics but blends in a healthy amount of modern technology for the sake of comfort and convenience. The bobbers of the old time, for example, had a hard tail with no rear suspension to soak up the bumps. Triumph's Bobber too looks just like that but integrates a well-concealed mono shock for extra comfort. The floating seat on top of that suspension is not only designed to look good, but it also offers fore, aft and height adjustment for the perfect riding posture. The monopod instrument cluster is also adjustable to avoid glare.Other features of the Bobber include a dual channel ABS, traction control, rain-specific riding mode and ride-by-wire throttle. The 1200cc parallel twin liquid-cooled motor in the Bobber makes 77PS of power and 106Nm of torque and is retuned to deliver strong bottom and mid range performance. It competes against the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight.
