The 959 Panigale was the real sportsbike for real riders in many ways - power, handling as well as price. But once the Panigale V4 blew the doors off the sportsbike world, it became the literal number two motorcycle in the range. But now Ducati are taking a different tack with its replacement, the new Panigale V2. The V2 is now Ducati’s top V-twin and its middleweight sportsbike - both are important markers for what the bike needs to be. So while the power is up by a smidge, Ducati has brought almost all of the electronics from the V4, that very, very delicious styling package as well as small tweaks to the handling package. How does that feel out on track? Shumi went to Jerez in Spain to ride the new bike.

It features a split LED headlight that looks devilish and the fairing has been completely redesigned for better aerodynamics. The new Ducati Panigale V2 also gets a TFT screen and new switchgear. Powering the bike is a 955cc L-twin engine producing 155PS and 104Nm. The 6-speed gearbox comes with a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. The aluminium monocoque frame is suspended on fully adjustable Showa Big Piston fork and Sachs monoshock unit which is also fully adjustable. Electronic goodies in the new Panigale V2 includes 4 rider modes, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS and engine brake control. It carries over the same 90-degree Desmocidi Stradale motor from the Panigale V4, and makes 211PS of power and 123Nm of torque. Couple that with a low dry weight of 178kg and you can expect some exhilarating performance. The Ducati Diavel 1260S is the latest muscle cruiser from Bologna, and it packs a 1262cc L-twin motor that makes 159PS of power and 129Nm of torque. A successor to the Diavel 1200, this 1260 not only packs a bigger engine with DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing), but also gets a new frame, revised electronics and this S model also has fully adjustable suspension from Ohlins, along with Brembo M50 monoblock brakes. It still retains its distinctive Diavel styling, but gets new LED lighting all around and a new 3.5-inch full colour TFT instrument cluster as well. We rode the new 2019 Ducati Diavel 1260S on the beautiful winding roads of Marbella in Spain to bring you our first ride review of the motorcycle. It will be launched in India between July and August 2019, and will be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 19 lakh.
Part cruiser, part naked and part superbike, Ducati blends all three into one intoxicating motorcycle, the Diavel. For 2019 Ducati has reworked the Diavel formula to see what that means we rode on the top of the line1260 S. Now, the V-twin engine packs 1262cc of displacement and Desmodromic Variable Timing to ensure the Diave can punch hard, high and low. There is an even more sophisticated electronic suite, a new chassis, top-shelf suspension from Ohlins. And, it’s changed on the surface too. In case you were wondering, the 2019 Diavel is properly new. But, what has really changed? We rode the old and the new Diavel to get the story straight.
The Ducati Hypermotard has been around since 2008, and since that time, it has been through many iterations, starting with the original 1100, to the 796, then 821, the last-gen 939 and now finally the 950. We got an opportunity to test ride the new Hypermotard 950 on the beautiful island of Gran Canaria and also take a few laps around the Maspalomas Circuit on its more extreme sibling - the Hypermotard 950 SP. Here’s our first look at one of the most fun-to-ride and unique motorcycles from Ducati. For more details, subscribe to our channel - https://bit.ly/2QoJvRc #DucatiHypermotard #BikeDekho
Ducati bills the SuperSport as their most usable sportsbike yet. So, we put it through some real-world tests, spending quite a bit of time in the saddle, riding on the highway, in the city and through the twisties. The SuperSport is powered by the same 937cc L-twin motor that Ducati uses in the HyperMotard and the Multistrada 950, and makes 113PS of peak power and 96.7Nm of torque. The bike we rode though was the higher specced SuperSport S, which gets fully adjustable front and rear Ohlins suspension setup, quickshifter and a rear seat cowl to visually differentiate it from the standard SuperSport. The SuperSport S competes with Japanese rivals like the Suzuki GSX-S1000F and Kawasaki Ninja 1000. For all the details and on-road prices of the Ducati SuperSport S, click here.
