Leading global sports bike manufacturer Suzuki, close on the heels of introducing the Gixxer SF 250 and the 2019 Gixxer SF in India, has launched seven optional accessories for the two new motorcycles. The bikes command an ex-showroom price of INR1.70 lakh and INR1.09 lakh respectively. Both vehicles look refreshing, courtesy their all-new look. The Hamamatsu-headquartered company has now taken a step further by launching new accessories for the two bikes.
The accessories being offered include a smoked visor, tank graphics, rim tapes, seat covers, saddlebags, and a DC socket. Suzuki has confirmed that all these accessories will be compatible with both the Gixxer SF 250 and the 2019 Gixxer SF because they share the same design language. The Japanese manufacturer, however, has not revealed the price of these accessories for the Indian market.
Suzuki has lent an all-new design for the current production year in both motorcycles. The vehicles sport new LED lights on both ends, clip-on handlebars, a new instrument cluster, and a split seat to offer a sportier riding posture.
The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF borrows the same powertrain from the outgoing model. The company, however, has tweaked the engine to produce 0.7PS less maximum power. The new Gixxer SF produces 14.1PS maximum power at 8,000rpm and 14Nm peak torque which remains unchanged. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gear system. The Gixxer SF 250, on the other hand, has a brand new, fuel-injected, single-cylinder 249cc motor which outputs 26.5PS maximum power at 9,000rpm and 22.6Nm peak torque at 7,500rpm. The single overhead camshaft (SOHC) engine is mated to a 6-speed gear system.
Suzuki is reportedly planning to introduce the Intruder, based on the Gixxer SF 250 platform, in India soon.
