Suzuki Motorcycle India recently launched the new Gixxer SF 250 and the 2019 Gixxer SF bikes, and the two-wheelers have already reached a couple of dealerships. Bookings for the two motorcycles have opened for a token amount of INR5,000. Customers making a full payment can have the vehicles delivered the next day.
The new Gixxer SF 250 commands an ex-showroom price of INR1.70 lakh, while the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF is pegged at INR1.09 lakh. The SF 250 is available in gloss black and silver colours while the 2019 Gixxer SF comes in matte silver and black colours.
Both the Gixxer SF 250 and the 2019 Gixxer SF share an identical design language. The two bikes, however, differ in their mechanicals. The SF 250 and the Gixxer SF are both fully faired motorcycles, having both-end LED lights, clip-on handlebars, split seats, and a new digital instrument cluster. That aside, the Gixxer SF 250 sports diamond-cut, premium alloy wheels, a negative display, dual-channel antilock braking system (ABS), and a wider 150-section rear tyre.
The 2019 model of the Suzuki Gixxer SF bike is hauled by a single-cylinder 154.9cc motor, borrowed from the earlier version of the Gixxer SF-FI. The engine has been slightly tweaked and now produces 14.1PS peak power at 8,000rpm. It’s 0.7PS less power than the Gixxer SF-FI. The maximum torque output of the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF is 14Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission system.
The new Gixxer SF 250, on the other hand, is hauled by a single-cylinder 249cc motor which has a 26.5PS peak power output and 22.6Nm maximum torque. The unique oil-cooled engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission system.
