MotoRoyale Kinetic has launched the limited edition MV Augusta F3 RC 800 bike in India at an ex-showroom price of INR21.99 lakh. The RC version gets the signature livery and racing kit at a premium of INR4 lakh over the Augusta F3 800 standard model. The kit includes aluminum parts, paddock stand, a revised engine control unit (ECU) and a rear cowl among other features. Only six units of the highly exclusive bike would be put up for sale in India. The motorcycle has MV Augusta’s Reparto Corse (RC) livery while ‘37’ represents the number of world titles won by the brand.
Besides the unique features, the Augusta F3 RC has a racing kit which comprises an SC-Project lightweight exhaust manufactured from carbon fiber and titanium. The new ECU helps the inline, 798cc three-cylinder motor to produce more power. The bike, as a result, produces 153PS maximum power at 13,250rpm and 88Nm peak torque. The power output is 5PS more than the MV Augusta F3 800 standard version, while the torque remains the same. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gear system with slipper clutch.
The MV Augusta F3 RC 800 uses lightweight components like billet aluminum brakes and foot pegs, and a mirror cap kit. The dry weight of the new motorcycle is 165kg which is 11kg less than the F3 800 standard version. The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, to add to the vehicle’s exclusivity, has included a dedicated paddock stand and a certificate of origin. The MV Augusta F3 RC 800 has four ride modes, eight-level traction control, and Bosch antilock braking system (ABS).
Both the suspension and braking system in the MV Augusta F3 RC 800 are retained from its standard model. The suspension comprises Marzocchi upside-down 43mm front forks in the front. The rear suspension has a Sachs monoshock absorber. Both shock absorbers are fully adjustable. The bike has a twin 320mm disc brake in the front and a single 220mm disc brake at the back.
