Customers who have booked Jawa motorcycles can expect to get their vehicles delivered from the end of this month. Jawa recently announced in this regard that it will roll out the Jawa Forty Two and Jawa standard motorcycles.
Jawa Moto, the Czech two-wheeler brand, recently returned to India after several decades. Both the Jawa Forty Two and the Jawa standard, according to the company, have received a huge response from customers and are already overbooked until September 2019. The Týnec nad Sázavou headquartered company has ramped up its production in India to feed the growing customer demand. The company has also deferred bookings for the Jawa Perak to September.
Both the Jawa Forty Two and the Jawa standard motorcycles are hauled by a liquid-cooled 293cc motor that outputs 27PS maximum power and 28Nm peak torque. Both motorcycles are supported by telescopic forks in the front and twin rear gas-charged shock absorbers. The braking duties are handled by a 280mm and 153mm front disc and rear drum brake respectively. Single channel antilock braking system (ABS) comes as standard on both bikes. The dual channel version costs around INR8,900 more than the single version.
The Jawa Perak is hauled by a 334cc motor which produces 30.4PS maximum power and 31Nm peak torque.
The Jawa Forty Two and Jawa standard have an ex-showroom price of INR1.55 lakh and INR1.64 lakh respectively. The launch of the Perak is unlikely to happen before early next year. But when it does, the motorcycle is expected to have an ex-showroom price of less than INR2 lakh.
