Leading Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer CFMoto has showcased the all-new 700CL-X bike at the 2019 Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) being held in Milan. The motorcycle is essentially a scrambler and is expected to be introduced in India by late next year. CFMoto has informed that the 700CL-X will be available in the Adventure, Sport, and Heritage trims.
The CFMoto 700CX-L Heritage has alloy wheels with road-biased tyres and a wide tanned leather seat. The bike sports a dual-tone paint scheme. Its wide handlebars are paired with mid-set footpegs that are designed to offer an upright riding position.
All three versions of the 700CX-L seem to have identical specifications. The Adventure, however, has a raised handlebar, spoked wheels, knobby tyres, and a different seat. Pictures suggest that the company will offer several accessories for all versions of the 700CX-L. These include a tall windscreen and panniers and other gadgets.
The 700CX-L Sport trim has a split seat setup, lower-set clip-on, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Super Corsa tyres. The bike gets a monotone colour scheme.
The features of the 700CX-L comprise full-LED lighting, a LCD instrument cluster having support for Bluetooth connectivity. That aside, cruise control is offered as standard. The bike gets dual-channel antilock braking system (ABS) on both ends. The 700CX-L gets a 13.5-litre petrol tank. The vehicle has a dry weight of 183kg. The upside-down (USD) fork of the Sport trim seems identical to the unit fitted on to the CFMoto 650MT. The Heritage and Adventure models get a new set of USD forks.
The mid-displacement motorcycle segment has seen growing interest in recent times and CFMoto is expected to aggressively price the 700CX-L scrambler when it is launched in India to get more market traction. It will lock horns with the Ducati Scrambler and the Benelli Leoncino.
