[UPDATE: CFMoto has made its India debut with the launch of four products: 300NK, 650NK, 650MT & 650GT. Head here for the pricing and other details.]
CFMoto, the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, is all set to stamp its footprint in the Indian two-wheeler market in May. Sources close to the company informed the media that CFMoto’s 650GT and 300NK bikes will land in India for testing soon. While the 400NK, 250NK, and the 650NK motorcycles have already been spotted being tested in India, the first bikes to be seen in the showrooms will be the 660MT, 650NK, and the 300NK. The 605GT is likely to be introduced later during Diwali.
India is all set to become the first global market for CFMoto to get the 300NK. The naked-faired vehicle borrows its design elements from the 250NK. The bike is hauled by a single-cylinder 300cc engine. Dual channel antilock braking system (ABS) comes as standard and the bike will have two riding modes. Both wheels will have disc brakes.
The 650GT, on its part, is expected to have the same underpinnings as the 650MT and 650NK. The adventurer-touring bike is likely to be hauled by a liquid-cooled 649.3cc motor which outputs 70PS maximum power at 8,750rpm and 62Nm peak torque at 7,000rpm. The parallel-twin engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission system. The powertrain, however, is expected to be tuned more like 650MT than 650NK.
CFMoto will bring the motorcycles to India via the completely knocked down kit (CKD) route. While the company is yet to reveal the prices of the vehicles, the 300NK is touted to have an ex-showroom tag of INR2.5 lakh. The 650GT bike is likely to command a price of INR5.5 lakh. CFMoto has partnered with AMW Motorcycles to introduce its bikes in India. The company, as of now, has confirmed only two dealerships in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. CFMoto is trying to bolster its presence in the Indian two-wheeler market by opening new dealerships in Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai.
