Big Boy Toyz (BBT), the certified pre-owned dealership of luxury cars and motorcycles, is offering the Ducati Diavel at a price of INR12 lakh. The on-road price of the bike in Delhi is about INR16.87 lakh, after factoring in the tax collected at source (TCS), vehicle insurance, registration charges, logistics, and insurance deposit for imports. BBT is selling the Ducati Diavel second-hand in India. The bike, when it was available first-hand, had an on-road price of INR18.6 lakh. The pre-owned version is INR1.73 lakh cheaper than that.
BBT bought 20 units of the Diavel and four Ducati Diavel diesel engine bikes in 2018 and put them up for sale at a lower price. The motorcycles were bought directly from Ducati and BBT was the first owner. However, even though the bikes are being sold second-hand, they are in the mint condition with the odometer reading at zero.
The Ducati Diavel is hauled by a 1,198.4cc liquid-cooled motor which produces 152PS maximum power at 9,000rpm and 123Nm peak torque at 8,000rpm. The bike has the preset Sport, Touring and Urban power riding modes. That aside, the motorcycle is equipped with a Bosch cornering antilock braking system (ABS), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). Braking duties are handled by 265mm rear disc brakes at the back, while the front wheel has 320mm Brembo radial calipers. The bike is supported by fully adjustable Sachs rear monoshock absorber and 50mm Marzocchi front forks.
The Ducati Diavel diesel is powered by an air-cooled 1,198.4cc engine. The bike has a 17-litre fuel tank and Ducati has claimed that the vehicle returns a mileage of 10kmpl. The Diavel diesel commands and ex-showroom price of INR21.72 lakh and is available in a single variant.
The leading Italian motorcycle manufacturer is all set to launch the Diavel 1260 in India next month, which may have prompted BBT to sell off its existing inventory at a lower price.
