Honda's latest offering for the power-crazy motorcyclist in you is the CBR 500R- a diet CBR sports bike for enthusiast. We brought you the first images of the bike a few weeks back following which Honda released a set of official images revealing the three color options including the famous HRC livery.
Now, Honda has revealed the pricing for the 2013 CBR 500R. The bike is priced at USD 5999 or just over 3.3 lakh in Indian rupees. Sounds awesome! That said, since the bike will be a direct import whenever it comes to India, expect the price to go up depending on whether Honda choose to bring it in as a completely built unit (CBU) or in knocked-down kits.
Adding to that, Anti-lock braking system or ABS is an option that would set you back by another 20-25000 rupees. Now, powering the bike is a DOHC liquid-cooled engine that generates 53 bhp of raw power enough to set your pulse racing and at the same time be light on the pocket. Yes, the main reason for a smaller capacity sports bike has been fuel economy and you could expect this new product to deliver its promise.
Meanwhile, we will be waiting for an official announcement from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India as to when they plan to launch the bike in India. There is excitement about the bike and we will be on top of the news as and now it happens. Stay tuned for more!
