Just like what is Lexus to Toyota, Infinity is to Nissan. Infinity is Nissan’s luxury car brand and is extremely popular in the US. It is slowly gaining momentum in Europe also. In India, the luxury car market is booming, with luxury car makers posting big sales. Indian’s are lapping up luxury goods and cars are on the top of their shopping list. The best time for new luxury brands to come to India then. Lexus is already coming and now Infiniti is also coming. The one that will make the most impact, we think is the FX35. The FX is a hugely popular SUV in the US.

Presented at the world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Peugeot 4008 will go on sale in India in 2013. The 4008 is the replacement for the 4007 and is an interesting crossover.
The styling of the Peugeot 4008 includes details such as a floating grille and the feline design of the lamp units with visual signature: at the front, a line of LED daylight running lamps that complement the headlamps and three red claws sculpted rear lamps.
The off-road character has been emphasised by adopting a vertical design of grille, the inclusion of body sill protectors and prominent wheel arch protection trims, to accommodate large wheels enhanced by the sophisticated design of the wheel rims.
The almost-horizontal bonnet grooves and the style line - which extends to the rear wing where it descends again crossing the lamp - are a distinctive feature and appear to hollow out along the body side. The interior ambiance is enhanced by the choice of materials, like the soft texture fascia, to the instrument panel visor and the lacquered black decoration of the centre console.

Many years ago there was a strong indication that Chrysler would come to India but that never happened, however soon enough, India will see the introduction of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India. Jeep is part of Chrysler which in turn is in a strategic alliance with Fiat. Thus the Jeep models would come to India via the CKD route and assembled at the Tata/Fiat facility at Ranjangaon. Jeep has a long history and also made the world’s first off-roader. In India the one that will make most sense is the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

There has always been a need for a diesel version of the Gypsy. The current version is simply too basic and expensive to run for private buyers. Maruti already makes use of the FIAT sourced engines for the Swift /Ritz / SX4 and we strongly feel its time Maruti made use of the same engine to roll out a diesel Gypsy. Here is what we think should be the end product
