Volkswagen Vento

European auto maker Volkswagen (VW) is going to launch its car Vento in July 2010. The car is actually the saloon version of Polo. VW hopes to sell around 25000 units of the car annually in India.

VW will make some changes in the Polo saloon before launching it as Vento in India. The wheelbase of the existing Polo will be extended by 50mm to provide more head and leg room for rear passengers.

Vento shares a common platform with Polo. The car is likely to be launched in both petrol and diesel versions. The engine of the car will produce power of 105bhp. The diesel variant will offer torque of 25.5kgm while the petrol variant will offer 15.8kgm of torque. The car may be priced around Rs 7-9 lakh.

Vento is a good looking car, Dear readers, vento and polo has been launced in indian market on Swift and Dezire basis evry car manufacturing company wants to be Maruti Suzuki in India by selling their cars on major scale, so is the Vwagan, it will be a nice looking and a good car to drive, Toyota is also following the same concept which one the ETIOS hatchback + Sedan, I hope u all will agree with it. Indian market majority belongs to HATCHBACK and will continue to belong to it for some good period.....Isn't it.....

Volkswagen is the Worst Car Company in India in Terms of Sales and After Sales Service "One thing which I would like all people to know about Volkswagen Company is that Volkswagen is the worst car company in whole of India in terms of sales and after sales service as I had booked a polo and my whole experience with Volkswagen is like a nightmare.My dealer assured me that my POLO will be delivered in month of June when I booked car in the month of March. Now they are telling that you will get POLO comfertline grey/black in the month of September. Actually company/dealers are cheater.

I guess the lowest variant of this car would be priced at about 7 or 7.5 LPA as comparing the price of the Polo. All what I feel is VW is a bit overpriced in India.

I am very interested in the Vento. I have a 4 yr old Honda City and wish to change. However I have a space limitation in our building in Kolkatta and the length/width of the City is the maximum I can manouver. What are the measurements of the Vento ie length and breadth AND the engine displacements of the petrol and diesel models.ALSO what is the latest on which month it will be introduced?
