Mahindra Renault Sandero
Mahindra Renault is planning to launch its new hatchback Renault Sandero in India by 2010. The Nashik plant of the company will be used to assemble the vehicle. Sandero has five doors and is very spacious compared to other cars in the small car category. The car is 4.02 meters in length and has a storage capacity of 320 litres.
The launch of Sandero will give Renault an entry to the growing small car market of India. Mahindra will also make an entry into the small car market, something the company has avoided so far and focused on the utility vehicles and SUVs.
Sandero is likely to be launched in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol engine is below 1200cc category and diesel below 1500cc with an overall length below 4 meters. Mahindra Renault Sandero will come with Anti Lock Braking system, a rail direct injection 1.5 dCi engine, and padded doors. The rear doors of the Mahindra Renault Sandero will open up to an angle of 67�.
Earlier, the Mahindra Renault Sandero was to be built in Renault-Nissan�s new manufacturing facility near Chennai, but now it has been decided that Renault will build Sandero at the Nashik facility.

Let us know the price...then we should think about this....But unfortunatly I driven Logoan few months before unexpectedly in india....i was not satisfied at all....if I'm going for an another car ....sure...I will go for Mahendra/Tata/Hundai/Toyota/Audi...never I will go for Renault....hahahha..tey r only the heavy vehicls manufatures....are u interested to purchase any Bajaj car's?....requirement aswell as the technology should deffer betwn the vchle catogary....then only it will call as car!!!...let us hope in new model...But?

For a good price if it is priced at not more than 3.5 lakhs then it is a worthy idea. For me, being a mother of four kids this is a better option to have my kids picked up from home to school and back and forth, with that of the sunday ridings to places like temples, malls and other places. For Skoda motors, with regards to its poor performance this vehicle is not worth. The level of service offered by Mahindra motors are better at their level in India, which is a more STRICT & POWERFUL ECONOMY.
Also do not make the same mistake as you people--(Mahindra&Mahindra) did for Logan, which has been ousted out of the market just because of their outdated styling and their way of using plastics in the radiator and certain adjustments in plastics against using some of the spare parts in copper and aluminium.
This time people should come correct in their way of handling the product with their aftersales service and cost of spare parts which has to be at a very low level and not at a high premium.
In Tamilnadu, people have started reading the car magazines with respect to the vehicles and their costs, PERFORMANCE, MILEAGE, after sales service and cost of spares and their availability.
I read magazines such as AutoIndia, What CAR, Motor VIGADAN.
NO EUROPEAN OR JAPANESE OR ANY STYLE IS REQUIRED IN THIS MATTER.
YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO CHEAT THE INDIAN PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY.

The price of this should not be more than 4.5 lakhs and that there should be no plastic use in the engine (all aluminium engine)
even the radiator tube should be made in aluminium as there were problems arising from a radiator tube burst in a Renault Logan.

For a good price if it is priced at not more than 3.5 lakhs then it is a worthy idea. For me, being a mother of four kids this is a better option to have my kids picked up from home to school and back and forth, with that of the sunday ridings to places like temples, malls and other places. For Skoda motors, with regards to its poor performance this vehicle is not worth. The level of service offered by Mahindra motors are better at their level in India, which is a more STRICT & POWERFUL ECONOMY. Also do not make the same mistake as you people--(Mahindra&Mahindra) did for Logan, which has been ousted out of the market just because of their outdated styling and their way of using plastics in the radiator and certain adjustments in plastics against using some of the spare parts in copper and aluminium. This time people should come correct in their way of handling the product with their aftersales service and cost of spare parts which has to be at a very low level and not at a high premium. In Tamilnadu, people have started reading the car magazines with respect to the vehicles and their costs, PERFORMANCE, MILEAGE, after sales service and cost of spares and their availability. I read magazines such as AutoIndia, What CAR, Motor VIGADAN. NO EUROPEAN OR JAPANESE OR ANY STYLE IS REQUIRED IN THIS MATTER. YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO CHEAT THE INDIAN PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY. Sandero is likely to be launched in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol engine is below 1200cc category and diesel below 1500cc with an overall length below 4 meters. Mahindra Renault Sandero will come with Anti Lock Braking system, a rail direct injection 1.5 dCi engine, and padded doors. The rear doors of the Mahindra Renault Sandero will open up to an angle of 67°. Earlier, the Mahindra Renault Sandero was to be built in Renault-Nissan’s new manufacturing facility near Chennai, but now it has been decided that Renault will build Sandero at the Nashik facility.

Well! look wise this car is a good as earlier sedan Logan. But again price should be around 4-4.5lacs not more then that, but if we see the power of engine it'll be high priced, obvious..!

The price of this should not be more than 4.5 lakhs and that there should be no plastic use in the engine (all aluminium engine) even the radiator tube should be made in aluminium as there were problems arising from a radiator tube burst in a Renault Logan.

Great looking car... I hope it delivers as promised. I heard renault & mahindra are going to split & JV will be terminated.
The whole idea is to bring in a product like Ford Fusion-very practical in usage..the boxy styling didnt help the car in anyway, though.
It looks more like a crossover like Ford Fusion and Skoda Yeti. If the diesel version is priced between 5.5 to 6.5 lakhs with quality interiors and ABS etc it could be a VFM deal for Indians.
