With the Indian car market booming, Hyundai has decided to come up with
its successful model Santa Fe in the country. A best seller in the
North American market, Santa Fe is likely to hit the Indian roads by
mid-2008. With the launch of Santa Fe, Hyundai is expecting to exploit
the SUV market in India, which is presently in its boom phase. The
company is expected to bring the new vehicle in both petrol and diesel
options.
Hyundai Santa Fe looks big and has some interesting character to it. The gradually rising waistline makes the rear look a little odd though. The flared wheel-arches will house massive wheels. Hyundai plans to import Santa Fe in India and will offer a delicious 2.2-litre, 148bhp diesel motor which might be tuned to suit Indian fuel quality.

The car companies now a days are eyeing only on the 18-20 lakh segment of the SUVs.Why are they not paying attention to the low cost SUV market....of innovas/scorpio/safari.....this segment I guess, is the most promising in Indian Car Market...there are people in india who love SUVs....right from the Wealthy India farmers/villagers to the urban service class......some are there who does not like buying HondaCitys......the car companies should target this one....I think a new launch SUV with a good shape and price 8-10 lakhs is enough to attract the Indians ...so dear toyota/hyundai/ford think sensibly to make a fortune out of this fast emerging market in India.

The car seems good. Look like a car, has door, wheels, headlights, may be a driving seat and a passenger seat as well and also the doors open. And the best technology is that this car has steering wheel which if you turn left, the cars turns left and vice versa. The tyres can be filled with air, their is glass from which you can see through. I think this should be priced around Tata Nano or even less.

I have seen this car on the street. Looks is very bold and seems to be specious and having good ground. Ths cost of this car in US is approx USD 23,000, hence, this car as resonable at Rs18 lacs, considering imported as CKD unit. Company must opt for having assembly line in India to bring down the cost and also phasewise indigenisation considering the fact that Indian market is very sensitive to the price and ownership cost. They demand vaue for money.

Indicruz is looking good, but somewhat, this car is presenting little bit Indicas' impressions..i think they working closely to their previous successful designs. But in my opinion today we can only top among others, we have something different...not compared to others..but in house as well...so overall this car is great..but Thodha nayapan chayie.

the very first thing to admire in a car is who manuf it , what cc / what comfort / why it will suite you / will you get insurance and how much / waht may be a resale situation / will you drive or your driver / can you afford the cost / will it be suited to your needs ./ if not then the thought stops there ? next car

in fact I am an Auto engineer nad set up in selling cars in one of the cities in europe , the demand in europe has stopped due to finance situation / next big thing in sales of cars new or old lies in India / although the market is big . note it has hardly started , the saddest part is used cars or pre owned cars are not marketted properly and proffesionaly / namely selling used cars like new / when this happens the car trade / the shape of auto industry in india will take a very new turn / the govt must licence car traders and have some sort of an audit trail and compliance .

hi guys, today i saw a maroon color santa fe in delhi near Mehrauli road, the car looks fine, and inviting, but the Hyundai SUV ( doesent have a face value ) its a good vehicle, but not for the brand concious drivers.
