Editorial Review of the Lohia Bikes Oma Star bike
Lohia is a well known name in the two wheeler industry. They had the LML brand in the two wheeler market some time back. They have ventured into the electric bikes market and one of their new offerings is the Oma Star, an electric scooter.
Weighing 89 kgs, this scooter uses a 250W BLCD motor to power the trip. It has a top speed of 25 kmph and a single charge would get you roughly 70 kms from the start. The battery is a VRLA maintenance free battery and holds 20Ah charge at 48 potential gradient. It charges to the maximum in about 8-10 hrs. These figures are more or less standard for most of the electric scooters in the Indian market. The colors offered are Red, Black and Silver..
It looks quite quite dashing and the alloys on the stock scooter are light and comfortable. The rear handle grips are nice to hold and give a decent grip. The riding stance is comfortable yet definitely not meant for long trips. It best suits people who have to make daily trips to the local market or for school going boys and girls.
