Pros: great mileage expected because of fiat ddsi engine which is proven in swift and palio style
Cons: leg room in rear seats, two in one car
At the price the diesel versions are launched, it is a steal.Very good pickup, good ac, best of features in top end zdi make it a formidable and unbeatable car of this era.U will never feel u are driving a diesel car. (likes of indigo, logan and even 1.4 petrol fiesta can beaten in a giffy). High torque at low rpm is good for city driving. The only thing not so good is its a 2 in 1 car, ie., swift from the front and sx4 from the back. Its just cut & paste of the front half of swift and rear half of sx4. Probably suzuki was in a hurry to launch the entry level sedan after deciding to withdraw esteem. They could have contoured the body like verna or fiesta, or else continued the sporty look of front at the rear also. Write a Comment

| I bought a vxi model last week.I liked it very much.It has got good pick up,reasanable mileage,attractive looks.After driving 400 km I got 13km {city}mileage. |

| even i am thinking of buying desire but waiting for 2 to 3 months is not acceptable company should solve this problem as early as possible otherwise buyier like me give second thought.be serious in this matter.if u give this car in a weektime i beleive this car would be heighest selling car of the year. |

| about Swift desire I can say words that car pickup is good,millage average is good but back look is not good because company has no change in front like swift look.companu should change the look from swift dezire overall good car but problem is delivery.one has to wait for 4 to 6 month for delivery.as you know in this time u cant wait for 4 to 6 month.compay has to enhanced the car delivery or stop the delivery.Maruti Company is very fine /network is excellent/service providers are good but in dezire case is company is spoiling his immage.I request compy to save the immage.I have already Swift Diesel VDI and got on 26.04.2008.I am very satisifed with the car. |

| i got the ldi delivery on 23rd jun after 2 1/2 months waiting but it is more than worth it. for the first 1000km i have driven, i got an average mileage of 18.22km/ltr with ac on continously. 500 km on highways and 500 km in city was my usage. The ride is excellent. Only thing i felt that back seat should have been made foldable and leg room in the rear seat should be slightly more. Nevertheless, its an excellent buy at 6.2lakh on road at hyd. |

| I booked for dezire vdi, on 27-3-2008.
but till date no reply from dealer. but on open market the car avilable for RS:50000.00 extra for immediate delivery. i am not willing for that. |

| I booked the petrol version along with Launch on march 27th by paying Rs 4,05,000/-thru bank loan at belgaum.till date no information on booking from dealer or Maruti suzuki.Many times complints launched but no reply from anyone. |

| Waiting time of 6 month is not a good sign for Desire, because of this people are diverting towards other car. Maruti MUST solve this problem to get good response from customer. |

| sir, this car will be good or bad i don`t know . i paid advanced money but dealer say we cam say about avilability that may be 6 month . this is not a good policy for company so my suggestion is car would be avilable to consumers as soon as possible. in this way car sale will be improved . |
