BMW has taken the wraps off its new BMW 7-Series limousine. The 2013 model comes with a host changes to the exterior as well as the interior. Let me walk you around the new luxury sedan first. The most prominent changes to the exterior can be spotted towards the front end. The new optional full-LED twin-headlights and the splash and dash of chrome here and there catches your attention. The air-intakes on the front bumper are new and get chrome accents.
Inside, BMW has upgraded their famous i-Drive controller. A redesigned ambient lighting package should also add to the premium feel of the cabin. The car maker offers an optional Bang & Olufsen audio system along with a complete rear-seat entertainment package. The instrument cluster changes depending on which driving mode is selected, viz. in ECO PRO mode, the dials turn blue. The Attention Assist system on the new BMW 7-Series would make sure that you chauffeur does not fall asleep behind the wheel. In India, BMW offers the 7-Series as a CBU with three petrol and one diesel engine option.
The 740i and 750i models will now come with a new powertrain management system called ECO PRO, which along with Driving Dynamics Control provides a coasting mode. Dynamic Damper Control, an electronically controlled damping system that works on each shock individually dependent on road conditions, self-leveling rear suspension also come as standard on all models. The engine in the 740i remains the same while the 4.4 litre V8 under the hood of the 750i gets a power boost thanks Valvetronic.
