One of India's major car manufacturer, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI), has recorded a spectacular growth of 343% from last year. The manufacturer sold 10,334 units in the month of May 2012 as against 2,334 units in the corresponding month last year. The small city hatch Brio sold in maximum numbers of 4512 with the ever popular sedan City doing 3753 numbers. The all new Jazz was sold in 1948 numbers. 62 units of the Civis, 38 of the Accord and 21 of the CRV were sold.
Enthused with the sales growth this month, Mr Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HSCI stated "We are extremely delighted with the response to Brio and City as both the models have been consistently posting great numbers. Honda cars offer great value for money and are a preferred choice which is evident from the response we have got from the market. We are confident that we will grow positively this year."
With the company having a strong sales and distribution network with 135 facilities in 83 cities spread across the country, it won't be long before the company records higher sales in the near future.
