Review On Hyundai - Getz Prime - 1.1 GLE I find it to be one of the most spacious in its class. The only car having more space is GM\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s U-VA. Getz has more legroom, more boot space, more internal width, compared to any of Swift, Palio or Fabia!

I have been using a Fiat Uno for nearly nine years and would always say Fiats built long lasting cars. My friends who bought Marutis 2-3 years after me, have faced build-quality related problems. One had to replace the suspension on 36K-7yr old Zen! Another close friend\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Swift had some problems with his transmission, then its headlight motor got damaged within less than 18 months and 20K km! Nevertheless, he did get it all fixed free of charge under the warranty.

All in all, Maruti undoubtedly has the widest service network, but it also needs it! Fiat builds good cars, but simply cannot support it. Service is pathetic. I decided to try Hyundai. Had it not been the Santro\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s ridiculously wayward handling, I would have bought a Santro. I know Santro and Getz do not compare, but I felt Santro is a good car.

Coming back to Getz, this is what I feel about it:

POSITIVES:
Space - Strongest reason to disqualify the Swift; eg. Getz has 62lt more boot space - thats about 2 suitcases! I would rate Swift to have better front seats, but I find the rear in Swift to be cramped at width. Getz wins hands down here.

Handling (I do plenty of Mumbai-Pune drives) and good handling is a must. I wish I had the Palio, but can do with Getz\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s handling.

Pleasant and quality interiors. All beige interiors give you a fresh feel inside the car - esp compare to Swift\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s black ones. Palio sucks at this, period. The Getz has an illuminated glove-box - you cant realize how useful it is till you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ve used it!

Value for money: At 4.2 lakh (on road, pune) for the GLE, nobody gives you tilt-steering!

Decent A/C: I would rate Swift to have better A/C than Getz.

NEGATIVES:
Fuel efficiency is not all that great. I get 13.5 in the city. My friends Swift gives 14.5. On the highway I get around 16.

I feel the 1.1L 67bhp is just adequate for this car. I remember at the test drive, on a particular open stretch of road, my wife said \\\\\\\\
