Review On Chevrolet - Optra SRV - 1.6 I bought my Chevrolet SRV in Jan 2007. It has been 20 months and 22000kms, and there has not been a day when I did not love getting behind the wheels of this car. Friends ask why did I buy such an expensive hatch. To tell you the truth, wife wanted a small car, a hatch, son wanted a sports car and I wanted to have lots of leg space in the rear seat for the days I cannot drive because I need to have my laptop open. Well it is the perfect car for all of us. My driver is very popular in his CHAI circuit, because everyone wants to know about this rare beauty on the Indian roads. I have been everywhere within 300kms from Mumbai and have taken friends and family and it has been a great treat. Car feels solid and safe. There has not been even a single breakdown in these past 20 months. Only one out of schedule replenishment of lubricant in steering wheel system. It is not great in all departments, of course. The fuel consumption in city (terrible Mumbai roads)is just near 8kmpl. On the Mumbai-Pune expressway I have ended up with as smuch as 14.5 kpl pn some days. After having driven in two Ambassadors, two Maruti 800s and two Indicas (one diesel and one petrol), sitting in my SRV I am firmly holding on to youth in my middleage. It is great to be young forever.
