Honda Jazz X
Gaadi Road Test Verdict
Updated on 18th August 2011- With the launch of the new 2011 Honda Jazz, the Japanese giant has sent shock waves in the Indian premium hatchback segment. Here is a car that the perfect Supermini for Indians - it looks hot, has loads of interiors space and a gem of an engine. However, the spoil sport was its high sticker price. Nevertheless, the weak sales figures finally made Honda think twice, the result of which is the car you see on these pages.
The new 2011 Honda Jazz looks like the older one though with minimal changes like new bumpers, new lamps, new alloy wheels (for X version) and so on. Interiors too get small changes but the main one lies in the sticker price. The new Jazz will be sold in three variants of Base, Select and X and even the base version comes loaded with goodies like ABS, Air-bags and steering wheel controls for the USB Audio system. And all this for an ex-showroom price of just Rs 5.5 lakh! This is surely a steal in this segment. Even the top end X variant is priced very well at just Rs 6.06 lakh.
With this kind of bargain pricing, Honda is sure to steal away customers from other showrooms including Maruti's and Hyundai's. Anyone looking at a premium hatchback with acres of space, practicality and high feature list should definitely consider the all new 2011 Honda Jazz very seriously!
Expert Speak: The new 2011 Honda Jazz starts at just Rs 5.50 lakh and is surely a very good buy in this segment. Much recommended from us!
